The Supreme Court of Wisconsin has overturned the Appeals Court ruling, deciding that Minnie the schnauzer is, in fact, a pet under Wisconsin Statute #123.
It took a year and a half for Carrie Smith's case to make its way through the court system. She is upset about losing, though she always knew it was a long shot to convince the court that a dog wasn't a pet.
She had already decided to move, though - even if she had won the case, the conflict with Mr. Myers has made her living situation too uncomfortable. She hopes she can find a pet-friendly apartment!
