"How much discretion, though?" asks Justice Olsen. "It could get complicated quickly."
"Nevertheless, it's unreasonable to evict someone for having a tiny goldfish in a bowl on their kitchen table. I don't believe that was the legislature's intention with this law," Justice Garcia replies. "I fundamentally disagree with the appeals court's reasoning, and I think it's important to preserve judges' ability to use their discretion in how this law is applied."
